My top 5 tips for skin prep for brides-to-be getting ready for your big day:
1. Wear your sunscreen
Sounds obvious but wearing an spf is important for anti-aging and you want to avoid pigmentation for picture perfection on your big day. You can get a moisturiser with spf or even use a foundation which has one included, check the labels to make sure you are getting your daily fix.
2. Review your diet and drink your water
No explanation needed, we are what we eat so if you want to look your best, make sure you are putting the best ingredients in and keeping hydrated.
3. Invest in an eye cream
Lack of sleep from hours of wedding admin (wedmin!) means puffy and tired eyes. Invest in a good hydrating eye cream to wear at night so that the only puffy eyes on your big day will be your other half at the alter choking back the tears at how drop dead gorgeous you look.
4. Review your skincare regime
Do you actual cleanse, tone, moisturise daily or are you slapping products on ad hoc, even using the dreaded face wipes all to often? Make sure the products you are using are right for your skin type and achieving the balance you need and get into a good routine.
5. Treatments for that extra factor
Make sure to get regular facials or a peel in before your big day to shed away dead skin. I highly recommend the Laser and Skin Clinic on Baggot Street where I also work 2 days per week. Pop in and book an appointment to get a tailored package for you.
